Please be patient!

Some core beliefs and ideals of mine:

Maintain peace wherever possible, but fight for what is right.

  • Absolutely no discrimination or prejudice is acceptable – e.g. racism, ableism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia etc.
  • Things like racism etc do not go away just because we want them to, they require work and constant growth.
  • Always acknowledge privilege and work to offset where possible.
  • Being part of a minority/ marginalized group does not make a person exempt from being a crappy person or doing bad things.
  • Everyone can learn and grow. We all make mistakes and maturity is being able to see that we are all human and our mistakes don’t define us.
  • Always be prepared to rethink opinions when presented with new information.
  • Always protect your space, mental health etc, and if someone is bad for it, remove them, obviously after giving them chance to change.
  • Stand by your friends through tough times, but do not be afraid to call them our for poor behaviour or even cut ties if they turn out to be bad people.
  • It’s better to be known as a kind person than a pretty person. Work on your personality before your aesthetic.
  • Those who won’t accept you for who you are now, probably never will, no matter what you change, so make sure you only change for you.
  • Be prepared and ready to ask for help if you need it. It doesn’t make you weak to need others.
  • Offense can only be taken, not given. Seize the power and refuse to be offended.
  • Just because you can handle something, doesn’t mean others can. Don’t just treat others how you would want to be treated, treat them how THEY want to be treated.
  • It is possible to forgive someone but remain aware of what they did. Trust has to be earned again.

Introducing “Amelia’s Angels”: A Community of Support and Unity

Welcome to “Amelia’s Angels,” a space that holds a special place in my heart as we embark on this journey together. As I take steps towards living authentically as my true self, I am incredibly grateful for the unwavering support and love I have received from my cherished “angels” – the individuals who have stood by me during my transition from male to female.

“Amelia’s Angels” is not just a website; it’s a testament to the power of community,
compassion, and unity. It’s a place where individuals from all walks of life, regardless of gender identity, come together to uplift and support one another. Here, we celebrate diversity, embrace inclusivity, and recognize the strength that comes from standing together as one.

I am immensely proud of the community we have built – a community that bridges the gap between trans and cis individuals, fostering understanding, empathy, and acceptance. In a world where division and discrimination too often prevail, “Amelia’s Angels” serves as a beacon of hope, proving that love and solidarity can triumph over hate and prejudice.

Whether you are embarking on your own journey of self-discovery, seeking support and guidance, or simply looking to connect with like-minded individuals, you are welcome here with open arms. Together, we can create a world where everyone feels seen, heard, and valued for who they are.

Thank you for being a part of “Amelia’s Angels” – a community where love knows no boundsand kindness reigns supreme.

With gratitude and love,
Amelia

Why Intersectional Feminism Is Essential in Today’s World

In the fight for gender equality, it’s crucial to recognize that women’s experiences are not monolithic. Intersectional feminism acknowledges that gender inequality intersects with other forms of oppression, such as race, class, sexuality, and ability. Here’s why intersectional feminism is more vital than ever:

  1. Recognizing Multiple Forms of Oppression: Intersectional feminism acknowledges that women experience discrimination differently based on their intersecting identities. A white woman may face gender discrimination, but she also benefits from white privilege, while a woman of color faces both gender and racial discrimination.
  2. Inclusive Advocacy: By recognizing the intersecting identities of individuals,
intersectional feminism ensures that advocacy efforts are inclusive and address the needs of all women. It acknowledges the experiences of marginalized women who are often overlooked in mainstream feminst movements.
  3. Challenging Power Structures: Intersectional feminism challenges power structures that perpetuate inequality. It critiques systems of oppression, such as racism, capitalism, and ableism, which intersect with gender discrimination to further marginalize certain groups of women.
  4. Promoting Solidarity: By recognizing the interconnectedness of different forms of oppression, intersectional feminism fosters solidarity among marginalized groups. It encourages individuals to support one another’s struggles and work together towards collective liberation.
  5. Creating Change: Intersectional feminism leads to more effective and lasting change by addressing the root causes of inequality. It encourages activists and policymakers to consider the complex ways in which gender intersects with other aspects of identity and to develop comprehensive solutions.
In conclusion, intersectional feminism is essential for creating a more just and equitable society. By recognizing the interconnected nature of oppression and advocating for the rights of all women, intersectional feminists are paving the way towards a more inclusive and empowered future.
